My primary aim was to lose some excess weight, with John's help I’ve achieved this and dramatically improved my fitness levels. I feel energetic and have a new found zest for life. Initially I was going to the gym a few times a week; my visits were sporadic and lacked structure or format. I'd seek guidance from the gym instructors but they seemed to have little time for me, and they'd begrudgingly show me how to use the equipment when pressed.

John designed me an individual workout with a clear timetable, I now follow this religiously. I know when to go, what to do and how much time to assign for recovery between sets. There's no doubt about it John works me hard but he understands my limits and knows when to encourage me and eke out that extra bit of effort that I just wouldn't give on my own. The programmes he sets for me are not set in stone, and he tailors them around my ability.

I still go to the gym two or three times a week, however now I perform exercises with 'perfect form'(I know this sounds silly but I can almost hear John's voice in my head ‘tuck your tummy in’ or ‘weight through your heels’) I enjoy John's varied routines and unique approach.

I now see John once a week and love our sessions together, he's always got a new exercise up his sleeve and my workouts are always enjoyable and varied. I've worked hard and I’m achieving my goals, in a word I’m delighted!

John trains me once a week and assigns me exercises and tasks to complete in between our sessions together. With John’s help I’ve changed the way I think about exercise. I used to go to the gym spend 2 hours there but see little results it was soul destroying, so much effort for so little gain. Now I hit the gym hard, complete my workouts within 45 minutes and can see tangible results. John’s mantra is ‘train smarter not harder’ now that's exactly what I do. I doubt there's a better personal trainer in Shrewsbury, thanks John.
